Shinichi set Wakana as an orphan without friends in order to create a situation where he has to solve problems with Marin Kitagawa instead of his parents or other friends. Marin Kitagawa has the desire to cosplay like Shizuku, a character from the erotic video game Slippery Girls 2. Marin insists Gojo design cosplay costumes for her so that she can dress up and cosplay.
