The series revolves around Arthur Read, his friends, and his family, who live in Elwood City. It shows their daily interactions amongst them. The theme dedicated is “Belief in Yourself”. The series has been an educational one as it deals with important issues that families face such as asthma, diabetes, cancer, and dyslexia. It also focuses on the relationships and behavior of a person’s relationships with family and friends telling them that there are different kinds of people in the world who have their own interests and personalities which differ from each other. It was the second longest-running animated series in the U.S. after Fox’s The Simpsons. Arthur Read is a third-grade student at Lakewood Elementary School. Arthur’s family includes his father (David), who is a chef, and his mother (Jane) who is an accountant, and two sisters Dora Winifred, Kate, and his dog (Pal). The series shows how Mr. and Mrs. Read are stressed from parenting, while Arthur’s friends’ parents are shown struggling in middle-class jobs.
