Am I a Dominant or Submissive Personality Quiz
Permafrost refers to the permanent frosting. It refers to ground continuously under frozen conditions for more than 2 years, either on land or on ocean permafrost may be either a single layer or miles deep into the Earth’s surface. Some permafrost located in the Northern Hemisphere including 85% region of Alaska, Greenland, Canada, and Siberia. In Southern Hemisphere, it is located on mountain tops. Due to the continuous involvement of man in disturbing the natural biotic and abiotic conditions, including pollution, this permafrost layer has too, started to get disturbed. For many years, Arctic permafrost has started to diminish. Resulting in the weakening of soil, releasing methane, hence, contributing to global warming. Water drained away from the lands into the air causes drying of wetlands, resulting in the survival of merely a few species. As a result, climate change scenarios will be amplified. Let's know more about Permafrost and Climate Change!
