Am I a Dominant or Submissive Personality Quiz
Respiration is a major activity in cockroaches, as almost all organisms can live for several days without food and water, but cannot live for more than a few minutes without air, In cockroaches, respiration occurs mainly through spiraids. Respiration in a cockroach is the process in which oxygen-rich air enters the trachea through the spirochetes in the cockroach's body, diffusing it into various tissues and cells of the body, and then releasing oxygen to release energy. Likewise, carbon-dioxide-rich air enters the trachea and moves outward through spiraids. The respiratory process results in carbon dioxide being pumped out.
