Questions : 10 | Total Attempts: 542 | Recent Updated: 15-Jun-2020
Am I a Dominant or Submissive Personality Quiz
The last known chemical of Halogen group astatine was synthesized by Dale R. Corson, Kenneth Ross MacKenzie, and Emilio G. Segrè in the year 1940 at the University of California. The chemical is radioactive and highly unstable. The element can be produced by bombarding targets made of bismuth-209 with high energy alpha particles. These high energy Alpha particles are the helium nuclei. The atomic number of astatine is 85. It is a p block element of group 17 and period 6. This element is considered as a metalloid that acts as a metal and nonmetal both. Four isotopes of astatine were subsequently found to be naturally occurring, although much less than one gram is present at any given time in the Earth's crust. So take this quiz and increase your knowledge about the chemical compound Astatine.
