Am I a Dominant or Submissive Personality Quiz
Ribosomes are the nonmembranous, smallest organelle of the cell. They are present in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes except mature sperm and RBCs. In prokaryotes, they scattered in the cytoplasm called Cytoribosome and in eukaryotes they are present freely in the cytoplasm or are attached with ER. They are also present in the plastids and mitochondria and are named as Plastidribosome and Mitoribosome respectively. Each ribosome has two-part, the smaller one is caplike and larger one is dome-shaped. They are the site of protein synthesis. They provide the site for the attachment of mRNA and tRNA and give them protection from cytoplasmic nucleases. So, take this quiz check that how much you know about ribosome.
